It’s Florida’s back-to-school tax-free weekend!

Soon, students will flock back-to-school and it’s time to maximize your savings!

Now is the time to save money on clothes, computers, and school supplies.  The tax-free weekend runs from Friday, August 4th through Sunday, August 6th, 2017.

There are a multitude of sales this weekend as well, so conserve your hard-earned cash!

Here is a breakdown of the tax-free weekend:Color pencils

  • CLOTHING – Up to $60 each
    Florida legislators were more generous than years past. Garments and accessories are tax-free up to $60 each.
  • SHOES – Up to $60 per pair
    Shoes are eligible for the tax exemption up to a maximum value of $60.
  • SCHOOL SUPPLIES – Up to $15 each
    Sales tax will not be charged on items such as pens, pencils, erasers, rulers, and glue. Particular items, such as staplers and computer paper are excluded.
  • COMPUTERS – Up to $750 or less
    Personal computers and related accessories.
